About The Chamber

Welcome to the Randleman Chamber of Commerce.

The Randleman Chamber of Commerce received its charter in 1948, however, was inactive until a reorganization in 1990. David Caughron was brought on board to serve as Executive Director in January of 1992.  Caughron served for over 18 years. In 2011, Milo Hunter was hired as the Executive Director.

The Chamber office is located in one of the oldest buildings in Randleman, which originally housed the city’s first telephone company. The current entrance to the building was the total size of the original structure, and examples of the original telephone equipment are on display in the Chamber offices. The Chamber added offices and a large conference room behind the original structure, creating an ideal environment for Chamber activities, such as Business After Hours, Board of Director Meetings, as well as various community meetings. According to Executive Director, Milo Hunter, “We have visitors to our office that are not actually in search of specific information, but have dropped by to tour the building and look at memorabilia we have on display. With Randleman’s rich heritage, we have a wide range of memorabilia – from NASCAR racing to antique telephones.”

Located in the rolling hills of the North Carolina Piedmont, Randleman is conveniently located 15 minutes south of Greensboro. Randleman is part of Randolph County, and is a 10 minute drive to the county seat, Asheboro. The Randleman “community” is officially described as serving Randleman, Level Cross, and Sophia, however, businesses and individuals from outside this area have found it important to join the Randleman Chamber of Commerce.

Newcomers to Randleman are impressed with the natural beauty of the North Carolina Piedmont area. Lush green foliage provides a natural backdrop to both businesses and residences. Residents are proud of the beautiful countryside they call home, as well as the traditions and heritage that have made the people here so very special.

Our organization is a partnership of businesses and professional people working together to build a healthy economy and to improve the quality of life in our community. Our people, our heritage, and our traditions are a big part of the history of Randolph County, and recent changes have enhanced the Randleman area.
