NASCAR Day Festival Saturday October 25, 2014 9am to 6 pm
Thousands will converge on Randleman, NC for the 26th Annual NASCAR Day Festival on Saturday October 25, 2014 from 9am to 6 pm in downtown. The festival pays homage to its racing heritage with the First Family of NASCAR – The Petty’s. Main Street and the new Commerce Square will be filled with anything you could desire from delicious food including BBQ, handmade crafts, home products, racing memorabilia, cars, kids rides, simulators and three stages of entertainment. New this year is a variety of simulators – a race car, racing bus (5 at a time) and a wide screen simulator to feed your competitive edge. See who is top dog for the day and earn bragging rights. Autograph sessions will vary with most being in the afternoon. The main stage in Commerce Square will feature The Entertainer’s Band who is nominated for five Cammy Awards including band of the year, song of the year and entertainer of the year. Nashville recording artist Tammie Davis will preform on the Randco Stage along with a variety of cloggers, dancers and the Little Ms & Mr NASCAR Day Pageant. The annual collectable postal cancellation will feature a variety of themes including celebrating Victory Junction’s 10th anniversary, makin noise themed engine and paying tribute to Lynda Petty wife of NASCAR Icon Richard Petty and Patricia Petty wife of NASCAR Hall of Fame member and famed engine builder Maurice Petty. The festival also welcomes the Richard Petty Fan Club who will be meeting at the new Petty Heritage Museum exit 86 in Randleman in the Level Cross Community. Randleman is minutes from anywhere in the Piedmont Triad located off HWY 220 / I 73 South of Greensboro exit 81 & 82 “in the center of it all”. Ramblin in Randleman the classic car cruise in takes place every third Saturday May thru October from 3 to 7 pm in Commerce Square in downtown Randleman. Uncle Benny and Carol bring the Crusin the Streets production to Randleman each year. The cruise in will also take place during the food truck festival on June 21 an action packed kick of to summer. Also big plans are being made for the last cruise in in October – so stay tuned for details. Look forward to seeing you every third Saturday in Randleman ! Mark Monday December 1, 2014 for the Christmas with the Ember’s concert at the Randleman Elementary School. This ticketed event hosted by the chamber is becoming an annual event folks look forward to. The full stage show rivals that of some in Myrtle Beach or Pigeon Forge. Make plans and be sure to bring a friend. Tickets available around November.
Randleman’s Christmas parade is Thursday December 4 in downtown. The parade starts around 6:30pm and will conclude with a tree lighting in Commerce Square and bike giveaway.
